An engineer who builds products customers pay for.

Jean Duquenne

What Jean brings to Certo

3 reasons Jean makes Certo stronger

Jean trained in microengineering, robotics and machine learning at EPFL. He took deep-learning classifiers to near-perfect accuracy at Bionomous, then did computer vision and VR research at Logitech, designing user experiments and hand-tracking for their meeting app.

Since 2020 he has been building his own products: micro-SaaS tools used by more than 1,000 B2B customers, three direct-to-consumer brands, and Qwestive, a startup he co-founded as CTO that was incubated by Binance and Google. He met Bastien at Entrepreneurs First in San Francisco and co-founded Certo.

01

Research-grade AI, production habits

From convolutional networks for biological classification to computer vision at Logitech, Jean has built AI that has to work outside the lab. That rigor is what makes Certo’s checks explainable and reliable.

Product velocity

02

Idea to paying customers, fast

A thousand-plus customers on his micro-SaaS and three DTC brands taught him to ship, measure and iterate quickly. Certo’s agents get the same treatment.

Founder-grade engineering

03

Clean code under pressure

At Qwestive he led smart-contract tracking, multisig, APIs and dashboards with maintainable code and rapid customer iteration, and won hackathons for best product along the way.
